About 2 weeks ago I met my friend Katrin, whom I haven’t seen in almost a year, to take pictures of her 17months old son Justin. Her boyfriend Mike came along too for some family shots as well. We had a great time and I finally was able to find out how much fun it can be to shoot a toddler who’s already able to walk (away from me ;-) ). But Justin, being a really sweet kid, didn’t mind my camera at all and let me take some really sweet memories for his parents.

I’ve taken so many pictures and I’m still working my way through all of them. It’s really hard to pick some favorites because they’re all wonderful.

Anyway, enough talking. It’s time for some pics.

Justin didn’t really like to be picked up. Walking and exploring the park on his own was so much more fun. So I’m glad I got at least one shot with mommy and daddy each.  Only seconds later he struggled his way down again ;-)

I’m gonna have to stop now. There are still tons of pictures I’ll have to edit. You can see a few more at my flickr.

“The Emily series” part 2… The pictures are 2 months old already but better late than never.

Here we go…

And this would be my personal favorite:5monate_img_9047_b_500

Gosh, I might be the worst blogger ever!

Little Emily was born on July 28, 2008 and I haven’t even posted one picture of her – not here at least. So now, get ready for some newborn cuteness!

Ok, fast forward to Emily at 6 weeks…

Ok, I guess that should be enough of baby cuteness. Stay tuned for some almost up-to-date shots. I’ll post them tomorrow (maybe).

For now I’m off to bed. Good night!

Here’s a little sneek peak of Tia, who I met about 2 weeks ago on my trip to Munich. She was 7 weeks old and so patient with me being not actually a baby photographer!

The pictures were all taken in the parents bedroom which was not lit very well. I tried to make the best out of it though and hope the parents, Sylvi and Christian, are still happy with the results…

This is probably my personal favorite shot. I like the blown out background from shooting against the window… And Tia surely liked my little basket (or whatever you might call that) and the soft blanket that I brought along!

I still haven’t posted anything of my first baby model Emily. Will do that later this week – hopefully!

These guys are some kind of brass band. One of them, Sebastian – the sax player, is one of my best friends. They asked me to take some new portraits and promo pictures for their website. So on my vacation 2 months ago we finally managed to get together and take a few shots. The guys didn’t have as much time as I thought and hoped so I could only realize a few of the ideas I had in mind. We still got a few nice shots. Here are some of my favorites…

This one I wanted to try for quite a while… I might  have to try again though.

The last one is another one with a texture. I really like how it frames the shot.

Due to lack of time I didn’t get as many shots as I liked. But I hope the guys still like the outcome. And I hope you – the 1 or 2 readers of this blog – do too  :-)

As I mentioned before I met another pregnant friend of mine. My best friend Katrin and I met up with Jule less than 2 weeks ago to get her some nice shots of her big round belly. When we saw her we could hardly believe that she still had 7 more weeks to go, because her belly was so huge already.
Well, let’s take a look at a few pictures…

Finally I could use my cute umbrella… I bought it for shootings like this but never actually got to use it until now.

… the rubber-ducks were Katrins idea. Gladly Jule actually had two of them because we didn’t. Lucky us!

Within my 2 weeks off, I went to Munich to visit my sister and a few friends. And I also had the opportunity to photograph another baby bump. Sylvi and Christian were my first bride and groom to shoot last year… And now they’re about to be a littly family in just a few weeks.
We went to a place that had been redesigned a few years ago for the BuGA, the German Federal Garden Show. We didn’t even had to go anywhere else because there were so many nice and creative backdrops.
Here’s a little sneak peak of what we got:

This one was Christian’s idea: … Can you believe those little shoes?
As you can see they sure liked to pose in front of the camera, especially Christian ;-)
And finally… This one is becoming one of my favourites.

So this is it for now. After Sylvi I met another pregnant friend of mine. And I met a gorgeous little girl, 8 days old. So stay tuned for more sneak peaks.

As I mentioned before, I did another maternity shoot with my very good friend Katja. When the pictures were taken she only had 4 more weeks to go and I guess I won’t see her again until the baby comes. I’m really excited to meet the little one when I’ll visit Katja and Jens again in August.

The two of them just recently moved into a bigger appartment which is close to a little lake. So that’s where we went to take the pictures. But walking around with such a big belly seems to be very exhausting. Sitting down on a bench made a nice photo opportunity.

We definitely drew the attention of everybody walking by though. Which was actually kinda fun!

I made them do all kinds of stuff, made them move around a lot and Katja was really patient. As a result I think we got some really cute shots…

The name-tag was Jens’ idea. As far as I know it’s from his clothes he’s wearing at work. It’s the little familys last name…

It’s about 2 weeks ago that I met 3 great musicians – Daniel, Tania and Marius – for a little photoshoot. It was pretty much overcast all day and just when we finished the rain started to pour down on us!

They were totally up to anything I suggested and came up with own ideas too. It was pretty easy to get some nice shots of them. I also liked that I could finally use my polaroid camera again…

I just had to push the trigger without telling them what to do. The pictures came out so good, it’s hard to choose a favorite.

I decided to spice this one up with a nice texture I found online. It was created by Angelique. I just started working with textures and I’m sure soon you’ll see me using them more often.

I actually got a lot more pictures that I like but I think this is enough for today. I still have tons of them left to proof.

I also met my dear friend Katja again to take pictures of her growing belly. So stay tuned…

I know a lot of people can’t wait to see some pictures from Katja’s and Jens’ wedding, so here is a little sneak peak.

When everybody was ready we took off to where the ceremony would to take place. Katja and Jens decided to get married open air at an old temple ruin called “Trianon”. Gorgeous!

And here are a few of my faves from the couple shots.

And of course the wedding rings…

Well that’s it for today. I’m so far away from being done proofing all the pictures. So back to work…
